“Mr Brian’s” 80th Birthday

Early on May 20th Brian received greetings from the children of Chinthowa to wish him a happy 80th birthday.

Throughout the day greetings came via Facebook, WhatsApp and cards from friends and family from all over the country. It was a very happy day under the circumstances of the ‘Lockdown’. Father Paul at St Benedict’s Church Atherstone said a special Mass for him at 10am. Steph Parker (madeofmemories) made him a fantastic and most unusual cake to remind him of his work in and for Chinthowa and delivered it to the house. It was huge! Friends and neighbours went to the utmost trouble to get him non-alcoholic wine for the celebration. There were phone calls from many and there was also time to spend in the garden enjoying the beautiful sunshine.  In the evening we had a three course dinner, beautifully presented and delivered by the Parker family. It is a day we will always remember, thank you to everyone for making it so special.
